What’s In The Nintendo Wii Fit Bundle

As I unravel my Nintendo Wii Fit package nervously, I discovered that numerous items are included. There’s the Nintendo Wii game console (which I’ve also bought in addition to the bundle), the Wii Fit Balance Board and a series of other accessories including the console stand, remote for the games console, nunchuck, AV adapter & cables. Included with the balance board is a disc which contains exercises such as the yoga, body balance, muscle building and aerobic exercises and routines. Now, you’ll need the game console before you can tap on the Wii Fit system. When I was first planning my purchase, I discovered that many packages were selling at cheap prices all over the cyberspace. But caveat emptor, most of them don’t come with the game console! My Workout Experience On the Nintendo Wii Fit

After I assembled the Wii Fit system, I started working out on it with a heart rate monitor worn on my wrist. I spent quite a while getting used to the menu navigation though frankly, they’re pretty user friendly. It may take some time off the workout time but I’m sure that can be reduced once I get more acquainted with the system.

What I’ve realized was, some of the activities didn’t gave me as good a workout as I expected. The soccer heading game was a letdown and didn’t even increase my heart rate above the minimum. And when I analyzed my statistics across activities such as the Yoga, Strength Training, Aerobic and Balance, the aerobic section stood out.

My favourite by far was the Hula Hoop game. As I tried to stay balanced, keeping all the hoops in the air while grabbing some more, my pulse was raised to 172bpm. I’ve to admit it. It was a fantastic workout!

Perhaps you may be asking “So, do you think the Nintendo Wii Fit is a good way to reduce weight?”. Personally I don’t think the Wii Fit can really help to reduce much weight given the calories of fat such activities actually burned. Maybe a pound or two a week. But I’m sure they’ll be quite good in another department of your life.

There is some safety instructions that will be helpful when playing with Wii so that you can get the most out of the game.

Use the Wrist Strap

For the first couples of times it may or may not feel unusual for you to play a video game with the controller attached to you wrist.  Nevertheless, it is recommended that you use the remote with the strap attached to you wrist; and as with everything else, with practise, it will become more comfortable and easier.  When you place the strap around your wrist, there is an adjustable lock on it, tighten it around your wrist.

Do Not Let Go
